To actively involve our students in the Indianapolis art community, which will provide purpose, a sense of community, and continued emotional growth.
To provide an outlet that allows youth to acknowledge, confront, and express trauma and emotions that are not easily expressed with traditional language.
Students will be introduced to music theory, compositional techniques, music appreciation as explored through the lens of cultural differences, and digital music sequencing and production.
Students will be introduced to the world of photographic arts by exploring various photographic concepts including digital photo editing and graphic design.
The purpose of this course is to foster an entrepreneurial mindset that will allow each participant to grow personally and professionally, along with helping create value and opportunity for others within their community and abroad.
The Blue Umbrella, Inc. is devoted to improving the lives of youth, ages 16-25, who are currently disconnected from education and employment in the greater Indianapolis area. We are dedicated to providing access to free, university-level education in the musical and photographic arts while providing high-quality training in the area of entrepreneurial development.
